Persnickety Pescetarian 

I decided to call myself the "Persnickety Pescetarian" after I realized what a picky eater (without apologies) I have become over the past few years.  

I am a plant-based, plant-forward, plant-first eater.  Whatever term you like the best!   My style of eating does not fit into any one box such as vegan, vegetarian, paleo, or low-carb.   I do eat fish, shellfish, and eggs (organic and pasture-raised only), but no chicken, pork, beef, other animals, dairy, and most products with gluten.  I saw a documentary once on the treatment of animals raised for food, and I've never been able to eat one since.   I've often told my husband never to let me see a dead fish if he still wants me to keep cooking them for us!    He's passionate about fishing, and he loves to bring back his catch for a home-cooked meal.
